Self Feeding Baby

At 8 months little Evelyn enjoys feeding herself. She is fairly good at grabbing those chunks of sweet potato, flattened peas, and bits of toast into her hand.

However, getting the food from your hand into your mouth is another matter. Sometimes she forgets that there is food trapped in her other fist. She wonders where the food went. I pry open her hand or shake out her bib. She acts surprised and continues eating. Poor girl.

Evelyn is wearing her dinner quite often these days. On the cheeks, foreheads and yes the hair. We are so proud of her.

By the time Evelyn is 6 she'll have a clean post dinner face, like her sister.
