Feb. 18-24, 2007

Me and my Mama.
When do I get a lollipop?

Whatever you do ... don't tip me over, I can't get back up.

Do you think my cheeks are fat enough?

Egad - she's got me!

My 4th tooth is coming in - I like my teethers.

I bounce and squeal like a pro!

I love my "flying saucer"!

Take the Plunge

Evelyn's first trip to the pool was a success. She was a bit hesitant at first but soon started to enjoy herself. We realized that her FAT arms and legs are natural buoys that kept on floating up to the surface. She dunked underwater with her Mom, twice, with no problem (babies have a natural reflex to hold their breath underwater). She stayed in the pool for about twenty minutes.

Hannah is now a fish; swimming underwater all the time. Once we got her those goggles there was no stopping her. On this trip she jumped off the diving board for the first time.

Ice is Nice

One of the best winter activities is ice skating on Maria and Charlie's pond. Hannah and I headed over to their ice skating party last Saturday for fun and food. Robin and Evelyn stayed home to nap. Maria, Charlie and their daughter Maggie worked hard to clear a large rectangular rink and an ice trail that loops from one corner of the rink to another corner. In addtion to ice skating a bonfire on the ice kept us warm and gave us an opportunity to roast hot dogs and sip hot chocolate. Typical Fairbanks fun in February.

Hockey anyone?
