Ice is Nice

One of the best winter activities is ice skating on Maria and Charlie's pond. Hannah and I headed over to their ice skating party last Saturday for fun and food. Robin and Evelyn stayed home to nap. Maria, Charlie and their daughter Maggie worked hard to clear a large rectangular rink and an ice trail that loops from one corner of the rink to another corner. In addtion to ice skating a bonfire on the ice kept us warm and gave us an opportunity to roast hot dogs and sip hot chocolate. Typical Fairbanks fun in February.

View of the rink.

Hockey anyone?

This is a great idea. Love the pictures of the girls but how about some of Mom and Dad? We love them too. Looks mighty cold

I second Uncle Jim's astute observation - we need to see the whole family!

And I still want to vist.
