Hannah's first day of kindergarten seemed like just the other day. Her cute fuchsia jumper and purple coat. A little girl lugging her pink princess backpack. Here she is on the first day of school.

Today is the last day of school. Hannah is now a first grader. She will desperately miss Ms. Vey the teacher's aid. They are buddies. Ms. Vey taught Hannah how to throw a football and other critical skills.

The kindergarten celebration was perfect: singing, certificates and cookies.
Summer has officially begun!
Don't forget to sponsor us on the Tour de Cure to raise money for diabetes research. Check out Hannah's web site:

Creamer's Field Trip

The last week of school and everyday is packed with fun. Of course a trip to Creamer's Field was on the list. Here's Hannah in her blue cap. I overheard some of the other parent helpers discussing how this was their first trip to Creamers. I was shocked! How can anyone live in Fairbanks and never go to Creamer's?

An informal grouping of Mrs. Forbes kindergarten class (both the morning and the afternoon groups) Hannah is standing next to her buddy K.K. The seasonal pond is flooded but the water is not as high as usual due to our low snow fall last winter.

After the hike along the seasonal pond trail and the boreal forest trail it was time for lunch. Evelyn enjoys her first picnic at Creamers. During the hike she was in the backpack: kicking her legs and singing.

Evelyn tries to escape off the blanket to examine leaves and grass.

Evelyn at 9 Months

This is for you Papa. Pictures of Evelyn at 9 months, since this is your favorite baby stage.

She is up on her knees and rocking a bit but not quite crawling. She can move backwards on her stomach but that just frustrates her because she wants to move forward.

Eating is a favorite activity. No more baby food for Evie, she eats what we eat.

She's got attitude and opinions.

She can get from her stomach back up into a sitting position.

More attitude.

Watch out, she's really mad now.
